The time and effort that guitar brands give to the creation of instruments is unparalleled. The craftsmanship is truly a sight (and sound) to behold. Many brands have a long history of making beautiful guitars yet have evolved over time to embrace new techniques in design and manufacturing while maintaining the highest standards in quality and artistry. Started in 1974 by Leo Fender, Forrest White & Tom Walker, Music Man’s first instruments were the StingRay bass. Music Man was purchased by Ernie Ball in 1984 and has a reputation for creating high end guitars & basses. They attracted big name players including Steve Morse, Eddie Van Halen , Albert Lee, Steve Lukather & JohnPetrucci. Always pushing forward, Music Man continues to make some of the best guitars & basses on the planet!
Launched in 2006, EVH Gear, a division of Fender, is the home of Eddie Van Halen’s guitars and 5150 amps. Starting with the limited run Frankenstrat replica in 2006 and the launch of the Wolfgang line of guitars in 2009. Now including the Striped series, the 5150’s and several tribute models, the EVH Gear line up has grown into an impressive collection of amazing guitars.
Though the company started in 1938, the modern company of Ibanez was launched in 1957. Starting out making American styled guitars, in the mid 1970’s they would switch to all original models. In the early 80’s along with the shred craze, came signature models for Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert and John Petrucci. Known as the finest guitar manufactures in Japan and are played all around the world.
