Hard to describe anyone with just one word, but it truly embodies Edward Van Halen. Guitar used in music and as an instrument were forever changed by Eddie. Almost every modern player has felt his effect whether it was his innovations (there's that word) in playing techniques or his tinkering with guitars, amps and chasing tone. He changed an entire industry along with influencing a generation of players, me included.
